Miriam Makeba -the South African music ian dies

The South African music Legend died on Sunday while performing in Italy,she was remembered for her songs "pata pata" and Malika which mean angel in Swahili were her popular hits,Miriam Makeba was 76 years old.
Because of her songs she was banned from south Africa during the apartheid period.Also known as Mama Makeba,got a chance to sing with harry belafonte and later her career in singing rose up and performed at Presidents Kennedy" birthday party.
When nelson Mandela was released when apartheid rule diminished.Her songs were mostly about her life in South Africa.Miriam will be remembered for her songs which even after retiring three years ago she continued performing.She was not politically involved when composing her songs,it was all about her life in South Africa,
South Africa is in mourning after loosing someone who to most or all of them was an inspiration.So its true to say that she was really Mama Africa .its sad and we are truly going to miss a legend who inspired all with her sultry songs when performing. .
