Hurricane Paloma batters Cuba with winds, rain

After hurricane paloma destroyed homes,on its entry to Cuba ,it looks like it left alot of people stranded,trees fell ,loss of power,in Camaque where Paloma made landfall on Saturday evening near the town of Santa Cruz del Sur island has not had a hurricane for the past 3years,and this was a major one, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.National Hurricane Center in Miami had made its prediction reducing to category 3,but it caused flooding in the area.
Paloma made landfall near Santa Cruz del Sur as an extremely dangerous Category 4 storm, but quickly weakened into a still-ferocious Category 3 with winds of 115 mph (185 kph) and torrential rains.A 1932 hurricane storm that killed about 3,000 people in Santa Cruz
In Grand Cayman island, power was knocked off,downing trees, and there were flooding in other low areas and roofs were missing. People living there were not harmed,though some of their properties were not in good shape. And other areas businesses opened.
True to say that they were readily prepared as no deaths were reported,they had an early evacuation.Though the residents say that its like starting all over again,
